Tom Petty and Tupac Shakur estates, Soundgarden sue Universal Music Group for recordings lost in fire – Fox News

Soundgarden and estates representing Tupac Shakur and Tom Petty are amongst those suing Universal Music Neighborhood for materials lost in a 2008 fire.

In a suit filed this week in federal district court docket in Los Angeles, the artists express that Universal failed to guard music ruined within the fire and to expose them of the corpulent extent of the fire’s affect, no longer too long within the past published by The Fresh York Cases.

Moreover music by Petty and Shakur, the fire is believed to catch destroyed grasp tapes and other recordings by Ella Fitzgerald and Chuck Berry, amongst others.
